UNISOLUTIONS' JOBACCT, NOW SUPPORTS WINDOWS SERVER 2003, SQL
SERVER
Dana Point, Calif. - November 10, 2004 - Windows Server 2000 users
migrating and/or adapting Windows Server 2003, can now count on the
UNISOL JobAcct software to provide system usage reports on all of their
Windows systems on the networks, including Windows 2000 Workstation and
Server versions, Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. SQL Server
database usage tracking is also added in this release, further
rounding out JobAcct's support of the Oracle, Sybase and DB2 databases.
To simplify product configuration
management and the generation of system usage reports on both Windows
and Unix
platforms, UNISOL JobAcct includes a Java User Interface that
provides the same look and feel on both Windows and Unix platforms.
The Java User Interface application, allows the management of projects,
cost-centers, rates and other JobAcct configuration files and generates
detailed, chargeback, summary and graphical reports. Online help is
provided
with the JavaHelp system.
With the support of the SQL Server Database Accounting option and
the
addition of I/O resource utilization on Windows implementations,
the new release meets the demand of organizations running multiple
Operating Systems and especially various Unix and Windows versions, by
tracking and billing for the same resources on both platforms.
UNISOL JobAcct now runs
on Windows NT, 2000, 2003, and, XP.
JobAcct also runs on Solaris 2.6, 7, 8 and 9, HP-UX 10.20 and 11x, AIX
4.3 and 5.X,
SGI IRIX 6.2 and 6.5, Red Hat Linux, UnixWare and SCO Open System V.
The Database Accounting modules allows system administrators
higher accuracy and greater flexibility for tracking and billing
server utilization for response to queries against the Oracle, Sybase,
DB2 and SQL Server databases. The database accounting modules from
UniSolutions are unique in their ability to execute precise database
cost accounting and assessment
for each user, group, project and cost center. UniSolutions' JobAcct
job accounting and assessment software package for UNIX and Windows
systems
executes precise cost accounting and assessment for each user, group,
project and cost center encumbrance on a project/department level.
JobAcct is highly flexible. The assessment rates for JobAcct can
vary
for prime-time, non-prime-time, and reduced-charge hours for each
chargeback number. There are also variable accounting periods, in
one day intervals, for each project, cost center, user and group.
The JobAcct software package requires a licensing agreement,
which starts at $995.
